Holiday Park Character Song Writing
Character song writing and kids party dance songs are two of the major things that Media Music and Nik Martin are best known for.
If you have a character mascot for your park it’s a must for them to have their own signature tune or party dance song. When we write the songs, we focus on them being upbeat and with a party dance feel. With good repetitive fun choruses to make them memorable. And usually with lyrics that tell them what dance moves to do.
You may have a team of characters and would like them to all have their own individual theme song for a production show. This is a great way to show each character’s personality and to introduce them to the kids.
Character Story Show
Character Story Shows are usually around 30 to 45 minutes long. Kids can have a short span of attention! We would find a theme/ story that you want it be based around. We would then write the script with all the characters playing their parts. The story would be linked with the various songs. And then there would be tie up of the story at the end. Everybody lives happily ever after, the gang have saved the day, and the moral to the story kids is……. And we like to finish with a mega mix mash-up of the songs used in the show. A typical character show could have 4 or 5 songs depending on how many characters you have.
Character Pop Concert Style Show
A great add on for your character shows is a pop concert. This is where each character has their own time to shine and could sing something from the latest charts. We could build the whole show up like you would a huge arena show. Maybe an X factor style voice over and “Boom” the gang give the kids their own private pop concert.

I’m sure you will have heard of songs like: – The Mexican Wave, Caribbean Way, Old King Kool and The Finger Song. And a remixed party dance version of The Purple People Eater. And we can’t forget the ultimate kids crazy dance song “Big Fish Little Fish”. Although written in the Rik and Nik style, this was written and sung by Nik on his own.
